Chia seeds are all the rage and here’s a great way to incorporate them into your breakfast! (1 TBS has 5 grams of carbs an all 5 of them come from fiber!) Mix them up with some sunflower seed butter and use as a “dip” for an apple or banana. This breakfast is high in fiber, healthy fats, protein, and just a few carbs! And the sunflower seed butter is a nice change from regular peanut butter!
2-4 TBS sunflower seed butter (most stores carry this now!)
1 tsp honey (optional)
1 TBS chia seeds
1 banana, chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 apple, cut into slices
Mix sunflower seed butter, honey, and chia seeds in bowl. Dip banana and apple pieces and enjoy!
