Flax and Bran?!

Nutrition has always been my passion, so it was no surprise when I went back to college to become a dietitian.  But my daughter, Jennifer, was less than thrilled with homework assignments consisting of “healthy stuff that tastes yucky” started showing up on the dinner table.  She’d always eaten her fruits and veggies, but adding healthy omega-3 fats like flax and high-fiber foods like bran to our recipes opened up a whole new world.  With love in our hearts – and ingredients strewn all over the kitchen – we mixed, baked, remixed and sampled, until…success!  The Flax-Bran muffins were a hit.  We loved them and so did everyone else – including some junk food junkies!

Gourrmet Baking Mixes

A Mindful Mix…

I’ve been coaching people on nutrition, exercise, weight loss, and healthy living for over thirty years.    What we put into our bodies really does matter, but the foods have to taste good as well as be good for you!  With this in mind, I have created delicious and yummy muffin and cookie recipes that also offer a smart blend of protein, fiber, and healthy fats.
