Love Your Body, Love Your Life

Module 9

EFT Tapping is scientifically proven to change your brain pathways to decrease cravings, and this week you’re going to learn how to do it!  Follow along with this training webinar to learn the basics.  Once you master the technique you can use it for any food craving and also for tapping out those limiting beliefs that might be blocking your weight loss.

For maximum results, tap on each of the foods that you crave.  For example, if your problem foods are donuts, chips, and ice cream tap on each of those separately.  It is definitely worth the time to do this.  Scientific research shows that tapping reduces cravings.

It can also be very helpful to do a few rounds of tapping before each meal or snack to get calm and centered. Don’t worry about what to say when tapping like this, just tap!  You will be sending calming signals to the emotion center of your brain (the amygdala).  Being more calm can help you eat less at meals.

You can also use tapping when you just need “something” and you find yourself standing in front of the pantry or the refrigerator.  If you’re not truly physically hungry then chances are you tired, overwhelmed, anxious, bored, or feeling some other emotion that is causing you to seek relief from food.  Again, don’t worry about what to say, just tap through the points.  If there are other people around and you don’t want to tap in front of them you can use the “press and breathe” technique (found below) to tap discretely or excuse yourself and go tap in the bathroom.  Many of my clients find the bathroom a great place to tap because they get some privacy there!

Commit to spending the next two weeks mastering this technique.  DO IT EVERY SINGLE DAY.  DO IT SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY.  No matter what food plan you are following, tapping can help!  Our cravings and emotional eating are rarely about the food itself.  We are usually looking for relief from whatever we are FEELING or or trying to numb what we don’t want to feel.
